Can you believe that in only a few short weeks it will be Christmas! For many of us Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year. With family gathered around, presents for everyone and piles of food. It is a joyous time when we all come together to celebrate the birth of our savior.
Unfortunately, there are children in many countries around the world that at Christmas find themselves without any family or home. For this reason VCI Missions created the Global Christmas Feeding Program. We want to be able to provide children with a fantastic Christmas and to share the joy and love of the season with them.
Start preparing now! What can you do to contribute? Get creative! By simply doing a search on Google you will find an unlimited amount of ideas for how you can raise funds for this project!
However, here are a few ideas for you to consider:
- Change Jar
Everyone seems to have spare change. Why not decorate a nice or bucket and display it somewhere visible and ask people to donate their change every week towards feeding orphans at Christmas. You just may be surprised how much change you can collect! - International Dinner
Food is a great way to bring people together. Why not put on an international feast and sell tickets? You could feature dishes from nations all over the world and present this project to those in attendance.
- Fundraising Auction
Talk to companies and individuals to donate certain products or services and then auction those items off. This is a fun way to raise some money and you can really make it into an event to remember. - Craft/Bake Sale
With Christmas right around the corner, this is a great way to raise some money and to do a little Christmas shopping all at the same time!
Together we can make this a Christmas to remember!
The deadline to have donations in is December 1, 2015!
