May 2015 - Order Precedes Multiplication & Globalization – pt4

There are seven areas God wants to multiply, if the church and we as believers will do our part. The first three areas have been covered in previous E-Newsletters: 1. Word; 2. Disciples; 3. Leaders.

The Fourth area is the Multiplication of the Anointing: God Will Multiply the Anointing if Believers Seek and Ask for It.

The anointing is God’s tangible power that comes upon you to either change you or empower you for service (Luke 4:18; Acts 10:38). The anointing is for every different type of ministry (Exodus 35:30-35). God’s anointing on leadership includes supernatural wisdom, authority and spiritual gifts. The strength of your anointing is in doing what God has called you to do.

There are three ways to increase the anointing as demonstrated by these Bible heroes:

1. Elisha serving Elijah.

The double portion anointing came upon Elisha after years of faithful service as Elijah’s assistant. Elisha performed twice as many miracles as Elijah during his lifetime.

2. Three anointing’s of David

  • Anointing of promise (1 Samuel 16).
  • Anointing to lead two tribes (2 Samuel 2:4).
  • Anointing to lead twelve tribes (2 Samuel 5:1-3).

When David grew in faith and maturity his anointing to lead increased. The apostle Peter wasn’t much when he started, but by the time he finished even his shadow caused the sick to be healed.

3. Moses choosing out 70 leaders

So the Lord said to Moses: “Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them; bring them to the tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you. Then I will come down and talk with you there. I will take of the Spirit that is upon you and will put the same upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone.” (Numbers 11:14-17)

There was a transfer of anointing from the key leader to his proven elders to help with the work. Likewise In the early church the apostles chose from among the disciples servant leaders to serve in practical areas of need. It wasn't long before Philip and Steven began to operate under the same supernatural, miracle working anointing as the apostles (Acts 6:1-8).

He will anoint us as kings and priests if we will make ourselves servants (Philippians 2:5-11; Revelation 1:5-6; 5:10).

The Fifth area is the Multiplication of Churches: God Will Multiply Churches if Believers Plant New Churches.

Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied. (Acts 9:31 NKJ)

Their basic model consisted of two simple steps:

1.Turn the local church into a ministry training center.

2.The local church releases ministers and workers to plant churches.Church multiplication should be a natural byproduct of using the first four multiplication keys of the Abrahamic promise.

Three Kinds of Church Growth:

1.Internal growth – The people in the church increase more and bring forth good fruit.

2.Expansion growth – Then comes the numerical increase of the local church.

3.Extension growth – Eventually new churches are planted from the existing church.

The early church was spearheaded by mature apostles with apostolic teams - this was a key to their success (Ephesians 4:11-16). The Five Fold ministry equipped the saints for the work of the ministry. They had an agenda to evangelize and establish local churches wherever they went. Church planting and having enough good churches is God’s plan to transform nations.

This is what Victory has been built upon; we expect to expand and grow. That is why we say, "What will you find when you reach the ends of the earth? A Victory Church!"

Yours for Global Impact through Kingdom Expansion,
